Yeah and I guess the Lions defense is as solid as they come too eh? Listen up dude, any NFL team that needs a win and proceeds go on and allow a mere 45 points against to an essentially fielded preseason squad describes the term 'choke' to the umpteenth degree and then some. Furthermore Detroit's offense, yes and obviously pivot included, did what was necessary for their part by putting up 41 points. Now if 41 points in this league isn't sufficient enough to pull out a victory, then I'd say the defense is the unit that 'choked' bigtime today and based on that fact, I'd say the joke's on you for this ridiculous thread.

Yeah that's correct, bombing is the word. Didn't play either game today but the result in this game will certainly resemble the Hamilton-Saskatchewan outcome if the BC Lions don't soon get its' act together and it's ass in gear. Ray is getting ample time in the pocket and to be accurate, he really doesn't need time but it certainly helps. He's picking the Lion secondary to pieces at will and as I said if BC is to keep this game within reach, they had better soon apply some pressure on the Eskimoe QB. As for BC's offense, seems Lulay is...

You know he had to be thinking it. You know it must have been going through his mind. Standing in his crease about 180 feet away from the play, Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas, like the other 18,000 people at TD Garden last night, watched teammate Brad Marchand rip a snapshot over the shoulder of Canucks netminder Roberto Luongo, who was standing well back in his net. If you could read Thomas?s mind, you probably would have heard him say something like this: ?With my style of cutting off the angle and challenging the shooter, I would have made...

I certainly didn't think the New York Jets would prevail in yesterday's AFC conference semi-final game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Not a chance but they did and I want to congratulate them and more importantly the people who backed them. Full credit to the visitors though for the win but when all is said and done, I wonder if I'm the only person who questioned the Pats game plan or strategy going into the match and as the game progressed. It was mentioned quite often down the regular season stretch that the decision to...

I'm referring to the allstar game ballots. The latest numbers show Habs center Mike Cammalleri, who isn't even french at that, ranked number six for overall centermen with 264,726 ballots. In terms of the scoring race Cammalleri is ranked 62nd with 12 goals and 16 helpers for 28 points. Now over in Philadelphia there are a couple of centers who are lightyears ahead of Cammalleri in terms of raw talent and yet because of their playing location, they don't attract the same focus from the hockey purists like they would if they played in la belle province. Can you imagine...

This NFL yearly trend has a very one-sided edge in its' favor and the trend is very straight forward. I came upon it about seven years back and have been following it each season to see if the trend continues to follow suit on a positive note. Now I haven't done a study lately to see where the trend stands based on a "make it or miss it" record but I do recall it was very solid the last time I did a quick review. In short here is how it reads: One or both of the two teams that...

Okay, okay so I should have expressed my opinion before the puck dropped to begin these two games but what the heck. Now what I can't for the life of me understand is why a number of people, some, chose to wager on either or both of these two clubs tonight. The New Jersey Devils just returned home from a lengthy road trip and the first game on home ice in this situation normally spells disaster for any NHL club. Furthermore we all know who the Devils are missing from their lineup, those being two integral parts of their roster...

The Pittsburgh coaching staff and I assume it was head coach Tomlin made a couple of bonehead plays near the end of the opening half which in turn allowed New Orleans to tie the game 3-3 going to the break. Nearly in field goal range and up by three, the Steelers elected to throw on all three downs when it was first and twenty. instead of running the ball in order to get back within reasonable distance for a possible field goal. As it turned out, not only were all three passes incomplete but Pittsburgh also sent Reed out to...
